Hemp-derived Delta-8 THC, not to be confused with Delta-9 THC found most commonly in recreational and medicinal cannabis, is a softer variant of THC that is legal to purchase in most states. Due to the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018, all derivatives, isomers, and cannabinoids found in hemp were made federally legal, provided they contain less than 0.3% of Delta 9 THC.
Delta-8 THC is reported to be more clear-headed than Delta-9, less sleepy, and may be a more productive daytime cannabinoid.
